If you’ve put off sorting your marketing in 2025, let’s start 2026 like you mean it. One of my clients said: ‘She’s grown our business at least twenty-fold on the initial investment.’Worth a shot? → Email louise@leapthirtytwo.com or reply to this email to book your spot
1. Here’s how to make your clients say ‘that’s me’
By now you’ve probably realised that my love language is, well, language (and cookbooks).
One of the most overlooked opportunities to make your comms and promotion actually land is paying attention to how you speak about what you do. Not in your words, in theirs. Your ideal clients.
I was working with a client this week, going through the services on their website. We kept asking:
Is that what they really say?
Is that what they’re actually looking for?
Is that what they’d call it?
And the big one… Can they look at your services and immediately say ‘that’s me’?
Most businesses describe what they do from their perspective, not their client’s. Which means potential clients read it, don’t see themselves, and move on.
I chatted with Kris Ward on Win The Hour, Win The Day, about exactly this. I covered the Think, Feel, Do framework, which is the simplest way I’ve found to get inside your ideal client’s head and speak in their voice.
No Silver Bullets inside line: I’m planning a 2-hour workshop in early 2026 where we’ll work through Think, Feel, Do together.
You’ll learn how to create grounded copy that actually connects with your ideal clients - and how to use AI to do it faster while still sounding like you. Early bird spots go to newsletter subscribers first. Email louise@leapthirtytwo.com, or reply to this email, for more deets.
2. Things I’ve learnt about marketing as a marketer
Yes, the title sounds like I came up with it in about 5 minutes. Not far off.
In September, I was asked to step in to speak at Craft+Work London four days before the event. Keir Whitaker encouraged me to speak candidly about what I’ve noticed, learnt, and observed with over 10 years of pattern recognition in marketing.
It was No Silver Bullets IRL. Here’s what I covered:
You don’t need a 90-page strategy to market your business
You don’t have a marketing ‘problem’, you have a prioritisation and commitment situation
The messy middle - starting is easier than being consistent
If you’re going to use words, make them count
Metrics are pretty meaningless... let’s focus on outcomes
If you have 2 minutes, you can get the essence of the talk in bullet point form, alongside Tim Richardson’s take on AI in Commerce and Dan Conboy’s tips for pitching like a pro.
Thanks to Oliver Lindberg for the kind write-up
Also, a massive shout out to Craft+Work, my favourite event of the year. Sign up to Keir’s newsletter to hear about what he has planned for 2026.
In-person events are back, baby
I’m predicting that in-person events are going to be where it’s at for B2B businesses next year. I have a feeling they’ll form a fundamental part of many of my 2026 marketing strategies, helping businesses connect with their ideal clients in ways that digital just can’t really match.
Remember though. Not all events are made equal.
That dinner your competitor is doing? Won’t cut it. Death by PowerPoint with the same speakers everyone’s heard before? Definitely won’t cut it.
So how do you make events actually worth it?
I’m delighted to be partnering with event pro (and all-round brilliant human) Rosie Hawkins once again. This time on The Speaker Strategy - the event you need if you’re thinking of running any event next year.
In a show, rather than tell, 2 hours - you’ll experience how choosing your speakers wisely can move your event beyond ‘having a lovely time’ to creating a legacy people actually remember.
You’ll learn:
What makes a good speaker for your event
Immersive content formats that drive actual audience shifts
How to choose speakers to support your business goals
The Speaker Strategy takes place just outside Exeter on Thursday 18 December, 10am-12pm at Rockbeare Manor.

Now it’s time for a lie down
Phew. I know there’s been a few longer reads recently, but B2B delighters are back, and New Year announcements are coming next week.
